Our story
We didn't start TTMCHANGE because we had abundant resources. We started because we believed technical talent exists in Somalia — but talented young people often lack the infrastructure, capital, and opportunities required to turn that talent into a sustainable technology company.
TTMCHANGE is our attempt to build from where we are: two senior engineers, no account managers, no subcontractors, designing and personally supporting every system we ship.

The challenge
We're not asking for pity — these are practical, structural constraints on building a technology company from where we are.
Many of the payment and billing tools available to software companies elsewhere aren't directly available to businesses based in Somalia, which makes receiving payment and subscribing to standard developer tools harder than it needs to be.
There isn't an established local ecosystem of technology investors, accelerators, or funding pathways for early-stage software companies in Mogadishu the way there is in more established tech hubs.
Cloud hosting, AI/API credits, and paid developer tools are priced in USD, and reliable internet access is a real recurring cost — both compete for the same limited budget as everything else the company needs.
It takes more effort to reach international clients, partners, and technology communities from Mogadishu than from a city with an established startup scene.
Continuing an education while designing, building, and personally supporting production systems for real clients — without an external team or outside funding to lean on.
