The AI industry has seen another unexpected development: a new model called Ox Alpha has appeared on OpenRouter, but unlike most major models, there is no confirmed information about who is behind it.

The model is currently listed as a “Stealth Model”, making its origin one of the biggest mysteries surrounding its release.

A 1-Million-Token Context Window

One of the most notable capabilities of Ox Alpha is its 1-million-token context window.

That gives the model the ability to process extremely large amounts of information within a single context. It also supports multiple input modalities, including text, images, and video.

Even more interestingly, developers can currently experiment with the model for free through OpenRouter.

Why Developers Are Paying Attention

The biggest discussion around Ox Alpha is not simply its context window or multimodal capabilities.

It is its performance in coding and long-running software engineering tasks.

Normally, when a major AI model launches, the company behind it publishes technical information, documentation, benchmarks, or at least a clear identity.
